Al Burhani – II tournament – Kuwait
On the auspicious occasion and celebrations of 98th Milaad Mubarak of Aqa Moula (TUS), Wagad Cricket Club Banswara and Mohammedi Sports Committee had organized yet another eventful night of spectacular Super Sixes cricket on the 7th of May 2009 in Kuwait which was witnessed by a commendable crowd.
6 teams had participated in the tournament, i.e. WCC Banswara, MSC Sagwara, Saifee Burhani, Alfa VI, Starlink and Dahod. WCC Banswara won the tournament for the 2nd time in a row. Starlink took the runner-up position.
Yusuf Gorakhpuri was awarded the Man of the Series, with a total of 84 runs and 10 wickets in 3matches, for the second time in succession. Burhan Musaji scored the highest aggregate runs (86) of the tournament. Burhan Musaji & Yusuf Gorakhpuri were also awarded the Maximum Six Hitter of the tournament, hitting 10 sixes each.
The event was a super success and was highly appreciated by all.
