On the invitation of As-Sayedul Ajal Al-Akram Shahzada Qaidjoher Bhaisaheb Ezzuddin Saheb, a delegation of 7 Senators of the California State Assembly visited Saifee Hospital, Raudat Tahera and Saifee Masjid on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Senator Gilbert Cedillo, Senator Dick Ackerman, Senator Ellen Corbett, Senator Denise Moreno Ducheny, Senator Bob Margett, Senator Gloria Romero and Senator Sheila James Kuehl were the respected guests.
The guests were received at Saifee Hospital and presented bouquets by Alisager BS bin Shahzada Ezzuddin Saheb, Al-Azhar BS bin Zoeb BS and by the Medical Director and other Saifee Hospital authorities. The learned guests were greatly impressed by the professionalism and quality infra structure in the hospital.
The delegation then visited Raudat Tahera were Qasre Aali Sahebs viz Mehlam BS, Abdemanaf BS, Zoeb BS, Al-Azhar BS received it warmly. After an introduction and briefing on Raudat Tahera and Syedna Taher Saifuddin Maula (RA) at the Sehan Mubarak, the visitors paid floral tributes at the Qabar Mubarak with much respect.
The expression of admiration was evident as Senator Allen Corbet commented that ‘it feels very peaceful here. Mr. Cesar Varas, Regional Director of State Government asserted ‘ It was worth coming here. It’s really amazing’! After seeing Fatemi Masjid the guests were taken to Saifee Masjid. I have been to your community’s Fremont Mosque and am glad today I have visited this beautiful Saifee Mosque.
Accompanying the Senators were Directors and Regional Directors of different US Government Departments. Consular corps from the US Consulate in Mumbai were also present.
