The mumineen of New York organized and participated in a number of deeni and dunyavi activities during Ayyam-ut-Taabodaat Mubarak 1428H under the guidance and leadership of Janab Hatim Bhai Saheb Shakir. Some of these activities are listed below:

1) Khatmal Quran with the neeyat of toolul umr of our beloved Aka Maula (TUS).
2) Medical Camp
3) Burhani Women’s programs
4) Fun fair which included the following:
a) Table Tennis Tournament
b) Jokes and Shairi competition
c) Rides and games for kids
d) Barbeque
5) Two airline tickets for ziyarat, one for Cairo and one for Mumbai, were awarded to two lucky mumineen.
6) Taqreer by mumineen on one of several topics selected by Janab Hatim Bhaisaheb.
7) 7 Darees with a quiz on deeni and dunyavi topic after each darees. Prizes were awarded to one mumin and mumina getting the maximum correct answers in each quiz.

All of this culminated on the auspicious eve of the 96th Milaad Mubarak of Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin (TUS). A shandaar julus was organized by the jamaat which was led by Madarasa Farzando, followed by Janab Aamil Saheb, Aayanul Jamaat and mumineen. The julus was through one of the main streets of the borough of Queens called Springfield Boulevard. This is a busy street and the New York City Police Department(NYPD), was gracious enough not only to grant us permission for the julus but also escorted us throughout the procession and they also closed off part of the street for the duration of the julus, which was about 30 minutes. This kind of julus was a unique occurrence in the USA.

After the julus, there was an ilmi program by madrasa farzando, starting with tilaawat of Surat-Al-Hamd by a student from the 1st standard. After maghrib ishaa namaaz there was khusi ni majlis followed by niyaaz. Pictures and videos of the Milaad Mubarak Julus, Madrasa Program and Milaad Majlis can be found at www.nyjamaat.org

Khuda ta’aala Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin Saheb (TUS) ni umr ne qayamat na din lag daraaz ane daraaz karje and Maula (TUS) ne sehato aafiyat na faakhir libaas pehnavi raakhje. Aameen.
