It is indeed a very proud moment for MSB Educational Institute - Kolkata to participate in the Thames Festival, - a gala cultural event to be held this week end 16th & 17th Sept: ‘06., on the riverside walkway between London Eye and City Hall, London.
Under the auspices of British Council 47 schools from Britain, China and India have got the opportunity to interact and share through this unique Puzzle Pathway Creative Project. MSB Educational Institute in active collaboration with Global Partner School - Ricards Lodge High School in London have worked in creating an artwork based on Mughal miniature paintings titled Boats & Bridges plying on the 3 rivers - Thames, Hooghly and Yangste.
The artwork comprising of 50 puzzles will be on display at the Puzzle Pathway on the river side walkway. Our two teachers Mrs: Alifiya Sonaseth ( Arts & Crafts) and Mrs: Smiriti Sengupta (Geography) will be attending the two day Festival, and there after visiting the Partner School for interaction and mutual exchange of ideas. The school Management, the Teachers and all our students wish them a very pleasant stay and may they succeed in projecting the unique cultural ethos of our School and return home with memorable experience.
I appeal to all mumineen residing in London and other cities who may be planning to spend this week end at the Thames Festival, and those who have not planned, to make an effort, to see and appreciate the artwork of our children and feel proud. Our two teachers will be there, and will be glad to interact and tell you more about our school and activity. Our school has been blessed with the Doa Mubarak of our beloved Aqa Moula (TUS) to hold the 4th MSB International Athletic Meet & 1st International MSB Quiz Meet at Kolkata in December 2006. Preparations are being made in earnest and recently a workshop was held. Report will be filed shortly, so that netizens can also benefit and share in our joy and efforts.
